Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time while obeying traffic laws and all safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service tasks such as checking fluids; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license, as required by state and vehicle weight.
  • •Pass background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Communicate professionally and have strong customer service skills with staff and customers at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift/move up to 40 pounds and complete prolonged periods sitting in the trailer cab.
