Key Responsibilities

•Define and execute the multi-year engineering roadmap for DigitalOcean’s Agentic AI infrastructure services.
•Lead the architecture and delivery of core agentic infrastructure capabilities (Open Harness Runtime, Action Toolbox, Coding Execution Runtime) for running and operating agents in the cloud.
•Set long-term architecture for scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-efficient services with strong operational discipline.
•Partner with product and GTM teams to launch new SKUs and services for agentic workloads, balancing performance and gross margin.
•Build and scale a geographically distributed engineering organization, fostering a high-performance culture while delivering production-ready infrastructure.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 261,600 - 327,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Deep infrastructure expertise: building and operating cloud infrastructure, virtualization platforms, distributed compute systems, runtime environments, or developer infrastructure at scale.
•Fluency in agentic AI infrastructure: sandboxed execution, MicroVMs, long-running workloads, tool execution, state management, coding agents, and high-performance runtimes.
•Strong business and technical judgment: ability to translate goals into technical strategy and execution.
•Operational excellence at scale: reliable production systems, clear ownership, measurable SLOs, incident discipline, continuous improvement.
•Executive leadership: experience leading large, distributed engineering teams and developing leaders.
