Key Responsibilities

  • •Own Prism software end to end: embedded software, backend device/control services, telemetry, and the contracts/interfaces between them.
  • •Set design direction across the embedded/backend seam, including state ownership, control loops, and how commands/telemetry are modeled.
  • •Make the develop–test–integrate loop fast by building HITL rigs, simulators, and test automation to validate against real and simulated hardware before site trips.
  • •Own telemetry and automation: dish reporting, calibration, health checks, and fault detection and recovery behaviors.
  • •Lead and grow the team: set technical direction, mentor and review designs, and coordinate integration needs with lab/site work.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of professional software development experience.
  • •3+ years building production software that controls, monitors, or automates physical hardware in edge environments.
  • •Experience on both sides of the embedded/server boundary, including embedded software and the backend, with strong views on where the line belongs.
  • •Engineering leadership/tech lead experience mentoring engineers and shipping as a team.
  • •Deep experience designing service communication across boundaries (interface/API design, state machines, and failure handling) with strong systems programming skills (e.g., Rust, Go, C++).
