Job Summary

Lead and grow WSP’s Large Ground Investigation capability by setting strategy for winning and delivering major ground investigation programmes across sectors. You’ll build and manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities, act as technical lead on complex projects, and drive continuous improvement through innovation, digital solutions, and data use. In a senior leadership role within Ground & Water, you’ll champion safety, commercial performance, and integrated delivery while representing WSP with key clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Set the strategic direction for large-scale ground investigation across WSP to drive growth and market differentiation.
•Identify, develop, and secure major opportunities with sector leads and key client teams.
•Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities, including leading design, management, and delivery of ground investigation works.
•Act as the technical lead on major GI projects, providing oversight to deliver scope, programme, and budget while managing risks.
•Drive continuous improvement in GI delivery at scale through innovation, digital solutions, data utilisation, and best practice.

Key Requirements

•Strong track record in winning, designing and delivering large ground investigations.
•Experience acting as Project Director on complex, multidisciplinary programmes.
•Good commercial awareness and experience contributing to bids.
•Credible with clients and able to operate at a senior level.
•Chartered (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
