Key Responsibilities

  • •Administer and support AWS-hosted PostgreSQL (Amazon RDS/Aurora) environments, including monitoring, backups, snapshots, restores, and maintenance.
  • •Manage snapshot retention, restoration, and refresh processes across production, lower environments, reporting schemas, and test environments.
  • •Provide database/migration support for major application releases, including schema changes, data fixes, rollback planning, and deployment validation.
  • •Monitor database health and performance (storage, connections, locks, long-running queries, vacuum/analyze, replication) and perform advanced SQL tuning.
  • •Design and maintain data pipelines and CDC/streaming architectures using Python, SQL, AWS services, and tools such as AWS DMS, Kinesis, Debezium, and Kafka; troubleshoot data and connectivity issues.
