Job Summary

Operate and maintain gas/liquid pipelines, compressor station equipment, engines, pumps, valves, and process equipment at the Tennessee Natural Gas (TGP) Kinder, LA facility. You’ll start/stop equipment within operating parameters, diagnose and repair mechanical components, and perform facility upkeep and minor electrical maintenance. This role includes shift work, on-call/emergency response, safety and environmental compliance (PHMSA/EPA), documentation, and coordination with landowners and third-party maintenance contractors.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate and maintain pipelines, compressors, engines, pumps, turbines, motors cooling equipment, dehydration/process equipment, valves, seals, and related machinery.
•Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters to ensure efficient performance of station and plant equipment.
•Diagnose and repair engines, turbines, pumps, seals, valves, and instruments; install, repair, service, and maintain valves, pipe, and measurement equipment.
•Maintain and repair facilities and pipeline right-of-way (including excavating, coating/backfilling pipelines, concrete work, painting, building erection, and weed control).
•Respond to emergencies and provide after-hours callout support; oversee/coordinate third-party activities, train personnel, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance (PHMSA, State Agencies, EPA, USFS).

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED.
•Knowledge of compressor and pipeline system operations and the ability to read/interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and other diagrams.
•Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices for flammable gases, liquids, and high/low pressure systems.
•Must be able to respond to callouts and emergencies after hours, including being able to respond to an emergency at the station within 30 minutes.
•Basic computer skills (MS Office/operating systems), basic math skills, and good verbal/written communication skills; available for shift work when applicable.
