Job Summary

Develop Backend Design Automation for RTL-to-GDSII in advanced technology nodes, driving R2G enablement, and building/deploying tools and flows (TechLayer, floorplanning, place & route, clock tree synthesis). Collaborate with EDA providers and design teams to enable tapeout and support design ramp-up with automation and documentation.

Job Function: Hardware, Embedded & Systems Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Drive the overall RTL-to-GDSII enablement for advanced technologies, interfacing with Intel product teams and flow experts
•Develop TechLayer tool and flow settings enabling design partitioning, floor planning, place and route, and clock tree synthesis
•Advance Physical Design tools, flows and methods, develop/evaluate/deploy required tools, build methodology using automation
•Resolve designer's tool/methodology issues on the path to TapeOut, and provide training/documentation to support design ramp-up
•Interact with EDA providers to ensure required tool features are available for projects with high quality

Key Requirements

•BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 4+ years experience or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 4+ years experience in Physical Design, Synthesis, Place and Route, Timing methodologies and flow development
•Deep Expertise and hands-on experience with industry standard Physical Design EDA tools (Fusion Compiler, Innovus, Prime Time, Voltus, Genus, Tempus, Extraction tool, EM/IR, Redhawk SC etc.)
•Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl
•Exposure to low power techniques and PPA analysis
•Experience with advanced Implementation flows and knowledge of foundry PDK requirements
