Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide and coordinate ICU patient care, educating patients and families and offering emotional support.
  • •Perform systematic patient assessment and re-assessment, collect pertinent data, and analyze information to identify nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes.
  • •Create, implement, and evaluate patient care plans with the interprofessional team, collaborating with the patient and bystanders.
  • •Record vital signs, administer medications and monitor for side effects, and escalate abnormalities using the relevant escalation process.
  • •Provide essential life support as required (including BLS/PALS/ACLS/NICU resuscitation as applicable), manage deterioration without delay, and perform wound care management as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Appropriate license to work as a registered nurse with the relevant regulatory health authority.
  • •Manage professional re-licensure in a timely manner.
  • •Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider card.
  • •Communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).
  • •Work within the UAE Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice, and licensure requirements for safe, competent nursing care.
