Job Summary

Serve as the owner’s representative for the Consolidated Separations Plant project, interfacing with an EPCM contractor from FEL-3 engineering through execution. Own the flow of process-development knowledge into EPCM deliverables, lead structured reviews (PDC, BFD, PFD, P&ID, and control philosophy), and manage SME comment disposition. Support PHAs/HAZOPs, equipment/data reviews, and design/commissioning for pilot and commercial-scale rare earth separation systems.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the primary liaison between the process development team and the EPCM contractor to ensure alignment on technical deliverables, schedule, and design intent.
•Lead structured review cycles for PDC, BFD, PFD, P&ID, and control philosophy documents; consolidate, prioritize, transmit SME comments, and track disposition to resolution.
•Coordinate across internal SMEs (process development, chemistry, piloting) to capture technical input efficiently and translate SME knowledge into EPCM engineering guidance.
•Participate in and lead internal design reviews, including HAZOP/PHA and constructability reviews; contribute to PHAs and support environmental and safety compliance.
•Review EPCM-produced equipment sizing, utility requirements, and datasheets against pilot-scale data; support design and commissioning with test plans and performance verification.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 135,000 - 145,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
•10–15 years of process engineering experience with exposure to capital project delivery in minerals processing, hydrometallurgy, or chemical processing.
•Demonstrated experience as an owner’s representative or engineering lead interfacing with an EPCM/EPC contractor on a major capital project.
•Strong working knowledge of engineering deliverables (PDC, BFD, PFD, P&ID) and experience managing formal comment review/disposition cycles.
•Experience participating in or leading PHAs and HAZOPs, plus ability to translate complex process-development and SME input into actionable EPCM guidance.
