Key Responsibilities

  • •Support engineering tasks on transportation projects, helping develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
  • •Assist with structural and bridge engineering studies, field investigations, and design calculations and analysis.
  • •Learn and apply industry-standard software (OpenBridge Designer, OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, Bluebeam) to support work.
  • •Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates; assist with collecting and maintaining project documentation.
  • •Complete assigned training and make responsible, ethical decisions while adhering to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Actively enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering (or related field), with an anticipated graduation date of May 2028 or later.
  • •Must be 18 or older.
  • •Demonstrated interest in structural and bridge engineering (or related field) with a desire to advance skills related to the work and projects.
  • •Competent interpersonal and communication skills for audiences including engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
  • •Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
