Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and manage acute and chronic illnesses while considering their impact on mental health
  • •Prescribe and manage medications, ensuring safe and effective use, while considering potential interactions with psychiatric medications
  • •Perform routine physical examinations and preventive health screenings, integrating the findings with mental health care plans
  • •Educate members on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions, emphasizing the connection between physical and mental well-being
  • •Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and documentation that integrate with mental health care plans

Key Requirements

  • •NP Degree from an accredited school or MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • •Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Massachusetts
  • •Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty
  • •For NP PCP candidates, minimum of 5 years RN experience prior to PCP licensure and 1+ year experience as FNP after completion of clinical hours is preferred
  • •Previous experience working independently as a PCP
