Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as a technical reference for the team, continuously raising the group’s technical level.
  • •Design, develop, and maintain highly efficient, reliable, and scalable distributed services on the payment transaction critical path.
  • •Ensure technical quality of developments with end-to-end vision.
  • •Minimize operational cost in production and maintain stability, resilience, and observability (alerts and war rooms when needed).
  • •Track the technical evolution of applications and ensure good distributed architecture as they grow.

Key Requirements

  • •Solid knowledge of distributed systems, including consistency, fault tolerance, idempotency, partitioning, and large-scale concurrency for a critical transactional service.
  • •Experience acting as a technical reference, guiding and reviewing other engineers’ work.
  • •Autonomy to propose and lead architecture decisions, standards, and best practices, showing technical dependencies with other teams.
  • •Experience with asynchronous architectures using messaging and topic-based systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
  • •Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL and/or MySQL) and production observability tools like Datadog and New Relic (metrics, distributed tracing, structured logging).
