•Own and build backend services within cross-functional squads for Visa’s Payments Platform.
•Drive technical direction and systems design for microservice-based, high-availability platforms.
•Mentor more junior team members and lead discussions on architecture and delivery practices.
•Ensure platform quality through TDD/BDD/contract testing and well-tested releases.
•Collaborate with Product Owners, QA, and other stakeholders to deliver incremental improvements and cross-team initiatives.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of Java backend development experience.
•Strong functional Java (8+) and Spring (ideally Springboot).
•Agile delivery experience in cross-functional teams (Scrum or Kanban).
•Expert knowledge of Docker, EKS, AWS, and Kafka.
•Experience with cloud-native architectures and testing (TDD, BDD, contract testing), including proven scalable, fault-tolerant delivery.
