Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead hands-on design, diagnostics, and optimisation of compute, storage, and network services on GCP, including monitoring and observability to improve cost, performance, and reliability.
  • •Support end-to-end development, validation, and deployment of fraud and ML models, identifying opportunities to reduce compute, accelerate inference, and improve automation.
  • •Optimise ML and data pipelines across ingest, transformation, feature creation, training, and inference with a focus on cost efficiency, resilience, and responsible AI-enabled automation.
  • •Develop and tune large-scale batch and streaming workloads using Spark or similar technologies to improve efficiency, stability, and production readiness.
  • •Apply strong Python and SQL skills with CI/CD, automated testing, modular design, and disciplined code review, using approved AI tools where appropriate with human review and controls.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong hands-on experience in data science, machine learning engineering, or ML platform optimisation, translating analysis into implementation-ready recommendations.
  • •Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) optimisation across compute, storage, networking, and ML workloads for performance, reliability, and cost.
  • •Strong Python and SQL skills, with experience building, validating, deploying, and optimising production ML models and data pipelines.
  • •Experience with large-scale distributed processing (e.g., Spark) and applying software engineering practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, and code review.
  • •Ability to collaborate across infrastructure, data science, and business stakeholders, and apply approved AI-enabled workflows responsibly with review and guardrails.
