Job Summary

Lead Dyson's Tooling and Molding Operations to deliver NPI and sustaining projects from design to manufacturing, focusing on tooling development, automation, and process optimization. Manage a local tooling team, coordinate vendors and external mold makers, and ensure on-time delivery, quality, and robust tool design while supporting cross-functional launches with RDD, QA, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and manage tooling design and molding operations to deliver NPI and sustaining tooling/molding projects.
•Collaborate with RDD and cross-functional teams to translate product designs into robust tooling solutions while maintaining design intent.
•Coordinate a local tooling team and administrative staff to design, procure, and maintain tooling assets.
•Oversee tool vendors and molders to ensure on-time delivery and quality, including tooling validation and production readiness.
•Review vendor recommendations for capacity, sign off DFM/GA drawings, and optimize tool size, cycle times, and costs.

Key Requirements

•At least 10-15 years of working experience in Tool Design/ Machining /Injection tooling and moulding field
•Tool design / development with hands on experience in tool design and selection of steel/hot runner/gating systems etc.
•Injection moulding process in-depth knowledge in machine selection, process development, trouble shooting, hot runner selection w.r.t application and product requirement.
•Knowledge and experience to interpret 3D CAD files and 2D drawing
•Candidates history should cover complex mold design, and molding machine process development. Proven ability to make changes to part design for moldability/manufacturability.
