Job Summary

Supervise manufacturing operations at the El Paso/Fort Bliss Depot, leading teams of manual machinists, welders, assemblers, and paint/blast/prep technicians. Plan and direct production flow to meet contractual quality, delivery, and cost goals while driving continuous improvement. Ensure a safe work environment and lead safety improvement initiatives, manage labor charging, and provide coaching, performance feedback, and escalation support. Coordinate daily with cross-business teams and lead tier meetings.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead manufacturing operation team(s) and ensure assembled hardware meets contractual quality and delivery requirements.
•Plan, organize, and direct production flow to achieve schedule, quality, delivery, and cost commitments.
•Monitor team safety performance and ensure proper PPE is available and used; support safety improvement projects.
•Train, coach, and build assigned employee teams; provide performance feedback and corrective actions per policy.
•Lead daily Tier meetings, attend department meetings, and coordinate with cross-business teams to meet organizational goals; support capacity planning inputs.

Key Requirements

•Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and at least 2 years of relevant experience with technical or operational practices.
•Experience leading a team-based manufacturing environment and making decisions with minimal supervision.
•Experience working with engineering documentation, procedures, and reading mechanical drawings.
•Experience working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).
•U.S. citizenship is required (only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract).
