Job Summary

As Head of Shops, you own the partner ecosystem for foodpanda Malaysia’s Marketplace, driving GMV, order penetration, and full P&L ownership. You will lead growth across retailers, expand into new cities, negotiate strategic partnerships, optimize cost structures and revenue streams, ensure catalog quality and real-time inventory, and align cross-functional teams to deliver a best-in-class vendor and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive Topline Performance: Take full accountability for scaling GMV and order volume; identify and unlock new growth levers across diverse retail categories.
•Lead expansion into new cities and high-potential segments to increase foodpanda's marketplace footprint nationwide.
•Lead high-level negotiations with national retail groups to secure market-leading partnerships and portfolio density; build long-term Joint Business Plans with major external stakeholders.
•Manage the vertical’s full P&L, optimizing commission structures and costs to deliver profitability targets and grow other revenue streams via advertising and digital visibility opportunities.
•Own Catalog Integrity and drive feature adoption (e.g., Item Replacement) to improve picking accuracy, reduce cancellations, and ensure a seamless customer journey.

Key Requirements

•10–12 years of experience in Senior Commercial or Marketplace roles.
•Strong background in Key Account Management with a proven ability to influence and manage high-value external stakeholders.
•A heavyweight negotiator who can secure complex commercial agreements while building strong, collaborative relationships.
•Proven experience in P&L management, with the ability to drive aggressive growth while maintaining healthy unit economics.
•Deep understanding of marketplace dynamics, including catalog quality and the nuances of in-store retail fulfillment.
