Job Summary

Lead procurement for East African Breweries PLC across one or more spend categories, defining and executing market-specific category strategies and coordinating with Global Category Managers. Serve as the market subject-matter expert, mobilize and develop cross-market category professionals, manage supplier relationships and performance, and ensure end-to-end sourcing, contracting, contract management, and risk mitigation that maximizes procurement value for EABL.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead procurement execution and market-specific category strategy definition to deliver procurement value for EABL.
•Coordinate end-to-end execution of category strategies across markets with Global Category Managers and ensure market professionals align with strategy.
•Act as market subject-matter expert for specific spend categories by collecting and leveraging supply market expertise with stakeholders.
•Build, manage, and grow the impact of category professionals across spend categories; inspire development through P4G and iDevelop and serve as an escalation point.
•Lead sourcing, contracting, and contract management activities, including negotiation toolkit use, contract reviews/co-development, and risk mitigation for strategic and sourcing risks.

Key Requirements

•Graduate or equivalent qualification and member of a professional body (e.g., CIPS).
•Minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement, Finance, FMCG Commercial, or a relevant role with expertise in supply markets and spend categories.
•Demonstrated experience leading projects and teams, managing/negotiating with suppliers, and developing/executing category and procurement strategies.
•Strong analytical and financial awareness, including understanding AOP requirements and financial goals/value drivers for in-scope categories.
•Experience in a senior or middle manager or senior specialist role, influencing senior stakeholders and budget holders and driving cross-border teams.
