Key Responsibilities

  • •Work as a real team member by engaging in discussions, decisions, and the technical design process.
  • •Write production software that has meaningful impact to Stripe’s business and users.
  • •Give and receive technical feedback through code reviews and design discussions.
  • •Collaborate with other engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to proactively seek and incorporate feedback.
  • •Learn and iterate quickly by communicating status clearly and building with the latest AI tooling.

Key Requirements

  • •Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, math, or a related discipline, with strong computer science fundamentals.
  • •Programming experience/familiarity through side projects or classwork; Stripe uses Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, and Scala.
  • •Experience from internships or multi-person projects (including open source) showing feedback loops with mentors, peers, and stakeholders.
  • •Ability to learn unfamiliar systems through independent research and working with mentors or subject matter experts.
  • •Ability to leverage AI tools while applying critical thinking and good professional judgment to review and validate outputs.
