Job Summary

Lead indirect tax operations for the Project Phoenix transformation, owning Vertex O Series management and tax system oversight. Own the Vertex lifecycle and ensure accurate tax determination across purchasing, sales, and project operations. Manage tax logic and SAP tax-related configurations, maintain taxability mappings and jurisdiction settings, oversee U.S. sales/use tax compliance and reconciliations, and partner with AP, AR, Procurement, Master Data, IT, and finance to drive audit-ready controls and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the primary business owner for Vertex O Series, the Vertex indirect tax accelerator, and related tax configuration inside SAP.
•Manage Vertex tax logic, content updates, jurisdictional/nexus settings, exemption certificate maintenance, and legal entity assignments.
•Maintain product taxability mappings, material group tax assignments, and GL/tax category relationships.
•Own U.S. sales and use tax compliance delivery, including governance of SSC and third-party filings, timely filings/payments, reconciliations, and escalation of notices/variances.
•Oversee indirect tax return preparation and internal controls, monitor indirect tax law changes, support audits/inquiries, and provide advisory guidance on tax implications for initiatives and system enhancements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
•Minimum of 7 years of experience in indirect tax (corporate, consulting, or a mix).
•Strong knowledge of U.S. sales and use tax and exposure to Vertex O Series.
•Experience managing SSC or outsourced tax models.
•Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
