Job Summary

Deliver patient-centered cardiovascular care as a Cardiology Registrar under the supervision of a Consultant Cardiologist. Conduct cardiovascular assessments and diagnostics (including ECGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests), develop evidence-based treatment plans, and manage follow-up and safety. Partner with multidisciplinary teams across physical and virtual care, contribute to audits and incident reporting, maintain SCFHS licensing, and support quality improvement through continuing professional development.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient histories, physical exams, and review of diagnostic investigations.
•Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust care based on clinical evolution.
•Adhere to cardiology protocols and best practices, participate in quality assurance activities, and report/investigate incidents and adverse events.
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate referrals and care transitions; provide timely updates on patient status and management plans.
•Educate patients and families on conditions and preventive care, participate in CME/professional development, and mentor junior staff.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (Medicine and Surgery education listed).
•Strong cardiovascular diagnostic skills including ECG interpretation, echocardiography, and stress testing.
•Proficiency in telehealth technologies/digital health platforms and in using EMR and clinical documentation systems.
•Maintain active SCFHS registration and comply with all licensing and credentialing requirements.
•Adhere to clinical protocols and evidence-based guidelines, with safe prescribing and error minimization.
