Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas; follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment as warranted and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices, bills of lading, and required paperwork; perform routine service checks and report malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.
  • •Must pass a background and drug testing required by federal/state DOT regulations, and be contingent on passing a 10-panel drug screen.
  • •Must pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills and remain focused in a busy environment.
