Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Complete minor adjustments and repairs across systems such as electrical, brakes, cooling, starters/alternators, engines (gas/diesel), transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Independently manage parts inventory and equipment on a company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation.
  • •Maintain and operate the service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work and complete DOT forms accurately, including uploading pictures and findings to repair orders using the company iOS device and TRAIT application.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and up to 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the job.
  • •Must be able to successfully complete and pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Current and valid DOT medical card (or DOT physical if the card has four months or less remaining).
  • •Required certification: ASE T8 (PMI); preferred: ASE T4 (Brakes) (or obtain within 18 months).
