Key Responsibilities

  • •Design electrical power distribution and control systems to support safe, reliable industrial operations.
  • •Conduct power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash) using ETAP or EasyPower.
  • •Prepare specifications and data sheets for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and associated equipment.
  • •Deliver electrical systems design across power distribution, motor control, lighting, grounding, and lightning protection.
  • •Oversee engineering calculations, verify accuracy via field reviews/site evaluations, and coordinate across disciplines while mentoring junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of electrical engineering design experience supporting heavy industrial facilities.
  • •Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in BC (additional jurisdictions considered an asset).
  • •Strong understanding of CSA, ANSI, IEEE, and building codes/standards relevant to the work.
  • •Proficiency in power system modelling tools, with familiarity with instrumentation, automation, and control systems.
  • •Ability to execute electrical project work across power distribution and related systems, and a valid driver’s licence to attend industrial sites.
