Job Summary

Build developer-facing demos, reference applications, and integrations for Exa’s Search API, then teach developers how to use them through talks, workshops, streams, and community support. Partner with DevRel leadership and Technical PMM to repurpose what you build into SEO/AEO-focused content. Act as the voice of developer friction for Product and Engineering by reporting what breaks and why.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and maintain working demos, reference agents, and integration examples for specific developer use cases.
•Deliver technical talks and run workshops across conferences, meetups, hackathons, and video.
•Provide helpful community support by answering questions, unblocking developers, and building audience trust.
•Develop and maintain integrations with frameworks and tools developers use, keeping them working as upstream changes.
•Gather and report developer friction back to Product and Engineering with specific details about failures and abandonment points.

Key Requirements

•3+ years as a software engineer, developer advocate, or a mix, with code you can show.
•Real fluency in the AI stack, built with LLMs, agents, and retrieval.
•Public artifacts such as repos, talks, streams, tutorials, or side projects.
•Strong live communication—teach technical concepts to a room and hold attention.
•Comfort working in public and taking technical criticism without getting defensive.
