Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate, inspect, and monitor plant equipment (e.g., turbines/generators, feedwater/condensate, fuel systems, boiler/HRSG, water treatment).
  • •Operate HMIs/panels in the control room to regulate equipment and maintain steam temperature/pressure and efficient operating conditions.
  • •Execute plant startup, shutdown, and load control; perform emergency operations to maintain service and safeguard equipment.
  • •Interpret instrument readings to troubleshoot operating problems and observe variations in conditions.
  • •Maintain CRO/shift logs, respond to dispatcher orders in real time, generate/review work requests, and assist maintenance using safe tool/equipment use and procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Valid state driver’s license.
  • •0-3 years’ Plant Operator experience (or equivalent industrial experience) in a power plant environment.
  • •Ability to complete the Water Plant Operator qualification card and the Control Room Operator qualification card for progression.
  • •Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen and drug and alcohol testing background check (DOT PHMSA covered position).
