Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform technical support services on designated equipment, including troubleshooting, repair, overhaul, testing, certification, installation, and performance analysis for FAALC product divisions.
  • •Conduct electronic component-level troubleshooting and repair of RF circuit card assemblies and RF cabinet assemblies.
  • •Perform through-hole and surface mount soldering, including trace and eyelet repair.
  • •Test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic assemblies, components, cables, wiring harnesses, circuit cards, prototypes, and test fixtures.
  • •Install electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems and modifications; use electronic test equipment and read/interpret electronic and RF schematics and technical documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED with completion of formal technical training OR an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • •Practical experience in an electronic technician support role performing component-level troubleshooting, repair, assembly, testing, and installation.
  • •Demonstrated hands-on RF troubleshooting and repair at the component level.
  • •Technical experience including one or more areas such as VHF/UHF radio component repair, troubleshooting RF amplifiers/oscillators/mixers/filters/transceivers, repairing microwave transmission equipment, or aligning/tuning RF circuits.
  • •Proficient use of electronic test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters) and ability to read and follow analog/digital circuit schematics.
