Job Summary

Manage technical projects end-to-end from initiation through delivery and closure for Red Hat Services in Canberra. Coordinate cross-functional, multicultural teams through meetings, progress measurement, planning, scheduling, and reporting. Own project requirements, scope, change management, project economics (costs, budgets, staffing, and risk), and ensure legally binding requirements are met while using industry PM and delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and product/system development approaches.

Key Responsibilities

•Actively manage projects through initiation, delivery, and closure, coordinating cross-functional teams to completion on time and within budget.
•Control project requirements, scope, and change management issues, ensuring legally binding requirements are met.
•Determine, monitor, and review project economics including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk.
•Facilitate and integrate project control solutions for planning, scheduling, and tracking using project management tools and methodologies.
•Plan, schedule, monitor, and report project activities, including subcontractor monitoring, establish metrics, and lead status review meetings with teams and clients.

Key Requirements

•5+ years as a project manager, with a proven track record managing complex projects from inception to closure.
•Experience controlling project requirements, scope, and change management, and managing project economics (costs, budgets, staffing, resources, and risk).
•Experience contributing to process improvements and working with complex, multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
•Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership skills, analytical ability, and strong business judgment for working with diverse internal/external partners.
•PMI or Agile-related certification is preferred; Australian Government security clearance at the Top Secret Positive Vetting (PV) level is required.
