Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead end-to-end technical design and architecture for assigned solution areas, including custom-built, customer-facing scientific software integrated with lab and equipment software.
  • •Translate stakeholder and product requirements into actionable technical tasks with clear acceptance criteria and technical context.
  • •Drive operational excellence through DevOps best practices, continuous improvement, and recommendations for system design, architecture, and operational processes.
  • •Oversee solution development and implementation aligned with business requirements and enterprise architecture, maintaining high code quality, documentation, and test coverage while managing technical debt.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and own the technical health of the team’s area by prioritizing issues, delegating tasks, and escalating when necessary; mentor and coach technical team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • •5–8+ years designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade digital solutions for FAIR data capture and management in science/labs domains.
  • •Deep expertise in solution architecture, integration patterns, APIs, and cloud technologies with a focus on reliability, automation, and security.
  • •Proficient in coding/scripting with technologies such as Mendix, Databricks, Java, JavaScript, AWS, Python, and SQL, plus infrastructure-as-code tools like AWS CDK and Terraform.
  • •Experience implementing and operating DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, incident response, automation, and continuous improvement.
