Key Responsibilities

  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders across the construction lifecycle, producing and presenting the final cost plan.
  • •Review and collaborate with design services and the general contractor to develop cost estimates; reconcile changes to ensure contractor data accuracy.
  • •Coordinate cost information sources, conduct cost checks and valuations, and manage cost variances and change control processes.
  • •Manage cost impact/contingency management and commitment tracking logs; support funding data presentations and VE sessions with stakeholders.
  • •Prepare monthly cost reports for the client, negotiate final accounts, compile built cost records for benchmarking, and mentor/coaching talent.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is preferred.
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects of medium to high complexity.
  • •Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
