Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure health and safety and compliance checks are completed using provided digital systems and Bupa compliance tools.
  • •Action and close tasks assigned via the Maintenance Manager and Bupa compliance management software.
  • •Complete maintenance and repairs to a high standard, ensuring internal decoration meets first-impression expectations and value for money.
  • •Maintain safety and cleanliness across the care home and grounds and meet Environmental Health, Fire Authority, Legionella, and H&S requirements.
  • •Report defects, obtain quotes, manage repairs with approved contractors, and support refurbishment/capex work while minimizing disruption.

Key Requirements

  • •A good understanding of building services such as heating, hot/cold-water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution, and plumbing.
  • •Practical experience of planned maintenance systems and record keeping.
  • •Knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and experience with compliance.
  • •A full driving licence.
  • •A building/electrical/plumbing qualification or at least 3 years hands-on experience in property maintenance and general repairs.
