Job Summary

Lead a team of engineers and applied scientists building cost-efficient specialized AI models and AI security capabilities. Define technical direction and short feedback loops, own end-to-end delivery from early research to production-grade reliability, and drive evaluation pipelines to measure quality and detect drift. Partner with product managers and research teams to shape bets and success criteria, balance quality/latency/cost/safety, and coach engineers while participating in hiring and growth.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop a team of engineers and applied scientists focused on cost-efficient specialized models and AI security capabilities.
•Partner with product managers, research teams, and cross-functional partners to shape bets and success criteria from framing through adoption.
•Own end-to-end delivery of AI systems, from research exploration to production-grade reliability and operational excellence.
•Balance quality, latency, cost, and safety; define the quality bar and build offline/online evaluation pipelines to detect drift.
•Coach engineers, foster experimentation and learning, and participate in hiring and team growth.

Key Requirements

•People-focused manager experience leading and mentoring engineers in a fast-moving domain.
•Deep technical expertise in one or more areas of AI/ML, such as large language models, RAG, semantic search, agentic systems, deep learning, or NLP.
•Experience with AI evaluation methodologies, including offline benchmarks and online metrics.
•Strong product instinct to anchor work in customer problems and define success criteria before building.
•BS/MS/PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
