Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare simple meals and ancillary items for service under the direction of the Chef.
  • •Wash dishes by hand or load the dishwasher, and store clean items safely to minimize breakages.
  • •Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, work tables, walls, kitchen equipment, and appliances according to schedules.
  • •Operate kitchen equipment and transfer items safely between storage and work areas.
  • •Maintain kitchen safety and hygiene, remove rubbish, keep supplies correctly stored, and follow HACCP and Health & Safety policies.

Key Requirements

  • •Understand Health and Safety and keep a clean, safe, hygienic kitchen environment.
  • •Ideally hold an up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent).
  • •Have prior experience in a catering department or kitchen.
  • •Ideally have experience working in a care environment and managing stock.
  • •Be organized and adaptable, able to work effectively in a team and independently.
