Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for a specific product using the approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development activities such as concept scoping, trade tables, should-cost models, joint design development, and simulation of mechanical and electronics designs.
  • •Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.
  • •Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
  • •Lead cost engineering activities to converge bottoms-up cost to product cost, reduce complexity via commonality and supplier rationalization, and manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical field.
  • •10+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • •Ability to relocate to be onsite in Huntsville, AL if not already local.
