Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve guests food and beverage in a high-volume, fast-paced music hall environment while maintaining line of sight and atmosphere control.
  • •Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards and adhere to HOB policies and procedures.
  • •Take and deliver food and beverage orders promptly, suggestively sell menu items, and prioritize and organize drink orders.
  • •Prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications; record equipment failures and safety hazards in the bar log.
  • •Ensure responsible alcohol service by recognizing intoxication, refusing further alcohol when necessary, checking IDs under 30, and completing POS and cash procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization that does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
  • •High school diploma (or equivalent) and a Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification (or equivalent).
  • •Cash handling experience and ability to prepare and serve drinks reliably (including passing a pour test and a timed mixology drill).
  • •Attention to detail and ability to provide safe, responsible alcohol service (including dealing with intoxicated guests).
  • •Ability to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
