Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct supplier selection for a specific product using an approved supplier list.
  • •Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development, including concept scoping, trade tables, should-cost models, and joint design via statements of work.
  • •Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.
  • •Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility.
  • •Lead cost engineering activities, manage BOM risk (including alternate sourcing), and ensure component qualifications ahead of production.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field.
  • •3+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
  • •Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
  • •Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • •Ability to relocate (onsite in Huntsville, AL if not already local).
