Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide personal financial counseling and management services to service members and their families at military installations, including surge, short-term, and on-demand coverage.
  • •Deliver one-on-one counseling, consultations with commanders or providers, briefings and presentations, and referral resources outside counseling sessions.
  • •Assist service members with establishing spending plans for extended absences and develop informational financial materials for service members and families.
  • •Coordinate, publicize, and provide Personal Financial Management classes/workshops across the military lifecycle, including responding to requests for age-appropriate classes or seminars.
  • •Use virtual counseling/electronic communication methods when authorized, manage duty to warn situations per DoD protocol, and participate in supervision, training, and quality improvement activities.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 58,440 - 93,500 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required (may consider associate degree + 4 years’ experience, or high school diploma + 6 years’ experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree).
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •U.S. citizen and fluent English.
  • •Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation and pass the OCI process.
  • •Certification required: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
