Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Protection & Control engineers and technical specialists.
  • •Develop and optimize P&C solutions, producing line diagrams, schematic diagrams, relay settings, SCADA topology diagrams, wiring diagrams, design specifications, and interface drawings.
  • •Act as Owner’s Engineer by reviewing and commenting on supplier designs and calculations for HV clients, including BESS and renewables projects.
  • •Conduct protection coordination studies and settings calculations (ETAP or similar), and coordinate across multidisciplinary engineering environments and project managers.
  • •Ensure compliance with design management processes, codes/standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC, National Grid), perform quality control reviews, and support technical reports, bids, budgets, and schedules.

Key Requirements

  • •Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college/university.
  • •HV Plant Design for EHV Grid Substations experience is mandatory.
  • •Experience in P&C FEED or detailed design for high voltage installations (132kV to 400kV).
  • •Experience preparing substation protection and control scheme drawings, relay coordination and settings, panel GA drawings, and substation SCADA/communication protocols.
  • •Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) license (or equivalent) in the relevant field; 12–15 years’ experience is preferred.
