Job Summary

We are seeking a CAD design engineer to model the physical architecture of current and future space vehicles, using NX/CATIA to build CAD models, define architecture and mass budgets, and collaborate with thermal, structural, and manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility and manufacturability of aerospace vehicle designs.

Job Function: Design (Product/UX/UI/Visual)

Key Responsibilities

•Build the CAD physical model of the vehicles and their sub-systems on NX (or equivalent) and contribute to decisions on architecture, aeroshape, equipment accommodation and main materials.
•Maturate the CAD models by adjusting architecture, accommodation, structure materials and thicknesses based on thermo-mechanical computations and system trade-offs.
•Collaborate with thermal/structural analysts and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance with mission environments and manufacturing constraints.
•Ensure configuration management of the CAD models and manage the vehicle structure mass budget aided by the CAD model.
•Provide technical documentation and drawings, participate in reviews, and support Additive Manufacturing studies.

Key Requirements

•Advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace or manufacturing engineering would be appreciated
•Minimum of 5 years of experience as CAD designer
•Experience with CAD software (NX, CATIA...)
•Strong knowledge on aerospace vehicle design and associated challenges
•Experience in Additive Manufacturing
•Fluent in English; German and French are an asset
