Job Summary

Support the Multifamily Risk team by overseeing insurance compliance for an assigned multifamily loan portfolio. You’ll review insurance policies and documentation, assess insurance-related risks and exceptions, and partner with internal stakeholders and external servicers to resolve issues. Analyze portfolio and operational metrics, prepare reports and dashboards for stakeholders, and help improve insurance oversight processes, governance activities, and controls.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor insurance compliance for an assigned multifamily portfolio to ensure required coverage per Fannie Mae guidelines and servicing requirements.
•Review insurance policies, certificates of insurance, endorsements, and related documentation to verify coverage adequacy and compliance.
•Identify insurance-related risks and exceptions, analyze potential impacts to collateral, and recommend mitigation strategies.
•Partner with Asset Management, Servicing, Risk, Legal, Underwriting, and external servicers or insurance providers to resolve compliance issues.
•Analyze insurance trends and portfolio data, prepare reports/dashboards, and support governance by maintaining accurate documentation and adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 96,000 - 124,000

Key Requirements

•2+ years of experience in insurance, commercial real estate, multifamily lending, asset management, loan servicing, risk management, underwriting, portfolio management, or a related financial services environment.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
•Experience reviewing commercial property insurance policies, certificates of insurance, endorsements, or insurance compliance documentation.
•Knowledge of commercial property insurance coverages applicable to multifamily properties (e.g., property, general liability, flood, builders risk, umbrella/excess liability).
•Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
