Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee pavement rehabilitation/preservation work elements including asphalt shimming, milling, reclaiming, filling, compacting, drainage improvements, striping, and incidental items.
  • •Interface with contractors, attend meetings, and report to the Resident Engineer (and act as representative as experience allows).
  • •Mentor or supervise other inspectors on behalf of the Resident Engineer or project manager.
  • •Complete daily reports, measure and calculate unit price quantities, and compile progress photographs.
  • •Coordinate independent material sampling and testing and monitor maintenance of traffic.
