Job Summary

Develop and prototype synthetic-data and generative world model techniques to improve training, evaluation, and generalization for end-to-end autonomous driving systems. Work within NVIDIA’s Physical AI Platform Research team to advance safe Level 4 capabilities through simulation and AI research. Translate new AI advances into scalable, production-ready technologies, craft the research roadmap for Alpamayo, and collaborate across research and product organizations while maintaining strong publication momentum.

•Craft the research direction and technical roadmap of Alpamayo to advance safe, robust, and scalable Level 4 autonomous vehicle capabilities.
•Drive technology transfer by applying research to real-world, production-ready systems for autonomous driving and simulation.
•Communicate complex technical ideas and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver research with real-world impact.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 192,000 - 356,500 annually

Key Requirements

•Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
•6+ years of relevant professional experience with a strong background in deep learning, AI, computer vision, machine learning, simulation, or autonomous systems.
•Proven research excellence with a strong publication record in leading AI and computer vision venues, and experience translating research into real-world systems.
•Exceptional software engineering skills, including expert-level programming in Python and experience building scalable machine learning systems and working in large codebases.
•Hands-on experience in synthetic data generation, generative environment representations, or simulation; experience with end-to-end autonomous driving, vision-language models, foundation models, or embodied AI reasoning is relevant.
