Job Summary

Support the Mobility Operations Team by helping HVTMC and NYSDOT communicate how weather, construction, maintenance, and other events affect tolling operations. Ensure work zone setups meet NYSDOT standards, maintain accurate external condition reporting through Openreach and 511NY, and collect, analyze, and report on HVTMC performance. Assist with asset management, recordkeeping, TMC/TSMO studies, ITS scope development, and contractor follow-ups to fix reporting issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist HVTMC and NYSDOT in informing the public and partner agencies about impacts of weather, construction, maintenance, and other activities.
•Ensure work zone setup meets NYSDOT standards and conforms to policies.
•Report on and ensure external condition reporting systems (Openreach and 511NY) are timely and accurate.
•Collect, analyze, and report on HVTMC performance.
•Support HVTMC asset management and recordkeeping, conduct TMC/TSMO studies, assist ITS scope development, and work with contractors to correct reporting deficiencies.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 0-2 years of experience as a Transportation Analyst using computer/software including MS Office, spreadsheets, and databases.
•Experience with work zone traffic control design and/or implementation.
•Data analytics experience, including economic evaluation, systems evaluation, and predictability/performance evaluation.
•Geographic Information System (GIS), asset management, and basic software development experience.
•Oral and written communication, ethical decision-making, and adherence to workplace safety and health policies.
