Job Summary

Lead economic development and advocacy for new Crusoe projects as part of the Public Affairs team. Manage state and local economic incentive agreements from jurisdiction outreach through term sheet negotiation and execution, and design enforceable community benefit agreements. Key Responsibilities

•Initiate, negotiate, and complete state and local economic incentive agreements for new Crusoe developments, including tax abatements and exemptions, from outreach through execution.
•Design and negotiate community benefit agreements (CBAs) aligned to Environmental Impact, Being a Good Neighbor, and Furthering Tech Innovation, working with cross-functional teams to ensure enforceable commitments.
•Build and maintain strategic relationships with local elected officials, public safety leaders, and government stakeholders, representing Crusoe in industry groups and coalitions.
•Monitor legislative developments, conduct policy research, and support state and local advocacy efforts while addressing local issues impacting site operations.
•Support community engagement activities including grassroots calls to action, site tours, local activations, and major community events.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in economic development, public policy, business, political science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
•3-5 years of experience in economic development, government relations, or public affairs, including structuring or negotiating tax incentive agreements.
•Demonstrated experience structuring and negotiating state and local economic incentive agreements with knowledge of jurisdictional processes and compliance requirements.
•Strong policy research and analytical skills, including the ability to write, edit, and quickly assimilate new information.
•Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills with discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential information.
