Job Summary

Own and deliver the company’s Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and support large load portfolio modeling. Lead long-term demand and generation capacity planning, oversee end-to-end modeling and deliverables, and represent the generation planning pillar within NiSource’s integrated system planning ecosystem. Supervise a resource planning team, manage the O&M budget, partner with Finance/Transmission/Gas Planning, and provide regulatory testimony and forecasts for filings and energy market cost recovery needs.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee long-term demand and generation capacity planning for integrated resource planning (IRP) and large load portfolio analytics.
•Supervise department personnel, manage the O&M budget, and communicate impacts to corporate O&M/CAPEX.
•Mentor, coach, and train direct reports to support ongoing departmental development.
•Partner with Finance, Transmission, and Gas Planning to integrate generation resource planning into the integrated system planning ecosystem.
•Provide and coordinate regulatory testimony and forecasts for CPCN, IURC, and other filings, and respond to data requests for audits and investigations.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 160,100 - 240,100

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, statistics, data science, finance, or a related field.
•10+ years of experience in the electric utility, gas utility, or a related industry.
•Extensive experience with load forecasting, generation resource and capacity planning, and scenario planning.
•Experience leading a complex department covering market-facing and regulatory-based processes.
•Knowledge of regulatory processes, rates, tariffs, State/Federal regulations, and gas operations.
