Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate packaging machines and ensure materials are managed to and from the production line to pack product.
  • •Pack smoked meat items, supply the line with boxes/product/pallets, and remove product from forms and racks.
  • •Set up, run, and clean equipment, including applying film and labels; tear down equipment at end of shift.
  • •Keep work areas clean and cover/clean machines at shift end.
  • •Complete paperwork and record/report product information, including scanning/inputting product data for daily runs and changeovers; perform job rotation as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Learn and follow all safety procedures, including OSHA standards for powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • •Ability to comply with safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements and accurately record/report product information.
  • •Ability and willingness to operate a powered hand mule/pallet truck/walkie pallet truck.
  • •Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) to support packing and recordkeeping.
  • •Willingness to work overtime/weekends as needed and perform physical duties including moving up to 700–900 pounds and standing/walking up to 10 hours.
