Job Summary

Own Level 2/Level 3 production support for SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS) enterprise data integration and ETL pipelines. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL job failures, data load issues, and performance bottlenecks; handle incidents and service requests with SLA focus. Lead root-cause analysis, drive permanent fixes, and improve monitoring/observability, automation, and reliability. Coordinate across development, infrastructure, database, and cloud teams while maintaining runbooks and operational governance.

Key Responsibilities

•Monitor and support SAP BODS production environments to ensure continuous availability and reliable execution of business-critical ETL jobs.
•Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve ETL job failures, data load issues, and system performance bottlenecks while meeting SLA and operational KPI targets.
•Manage production incidents and service requests, including impact analysis and coordination during major incidents.
•Conduct detailed root cause analysis (RCA), drive permanent fixes and preventative measures, and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues.
•Improve platform reliability through monitoring/alerting/observability enhancements, automation of repetitive tasks, operational runbooks, and change management/compliance activities.

Key Requirements

•4–7 years of experience in data engineering, ETL support, or application support, including at least 3 years supporting SAP BODS production environments.
•Hands-on expertise in SAP BODS administration, monitoring, scheduling, and troubleshooting for business-critical ETL jobs.
•Experience managing enterprise-scale ETL operations/data movement and strong incident, problem, and service operations exposure in SLA-driven environments.
•Expertise in Data Flows/Workflows, Job Server, repository management, and batch job execution; strong SQL/database querying skills (Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, etc.).
•Knowledge of enterprise scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys) and production monitoring/operational dashboards, plus ETL architecture, data warehousing, and data lineage understanding.
