Job Summary

Lead civil engineering work on transportation projects across the Pacific Mountain West District, providing technical leadership and guidance to junior staff. Partner closely with clients to deliver expectations, support project managers with scope, schedule, budget, risk, and bid packages, and maintain QA/QC for cost, schedule, and quality. Assist with roadway/highway design using OpenRoads and related tools, coordinate with other disciplines, and contribute to transportation business development pursuits.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead professional civil task work on transportation projects for clients across the Pacific Mountain West District.
•Provide guidance and leadership to junior team or project teams to achieve project objectives.
•Support project managers with scope, schedule, budget, changes and risk, and plans/specifications/estimates/bid packages.
•Maintain QA/QC to ensure engineering activities meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives aligned to standards and client requirements.
•Mentor or supervise early career staff and coordinate with other design disciplines, while supporting transportation business development efforts.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited program.
•7 to 10 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior civil design experience.
•Engineer license required.
•Experience working with local agencies and Idaho transportation entities (ITD, LHTAC and/or ACHD) and their design standards.
•Proficiency in roadway/highway design (alignments, profiles, cross-sections/superelevations) and 3D modeling, with experience in construction administrative support (RFIs, submittals, design change orders).
