Job Summary

Ensure supplier engineering requirements are clear and communicated by partnering with New Product Development and New Product Introduction teams. Investigate manufacturing process alternatives using quality tools, support supplier selection and audits, and drive continuous improvement through performance evaluation and CAPA/problem resolution. Evaluate technical requirements for new and existing products and perform production assessments to support serial readiness for transferred and new modules, with expertise across electrical quality testing and standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Work with New Product Development teams to ensure engineering drawing requirements are clear and expectations are communicated to supporting suppliers.
•Partner with New Product Introduction teams to involve suppliers in development and specification reviews to promote design for manufacturability.
•Use project management skills and quality tools to investigate alternate manufacturing processes for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability.
•Support the supplier selection process, develop a competitive supply base, and assist in supplier technical audits and performance/capability evaluations.
•Assist in quality problem resolutions and incident management by driving root cause and correction action, and perform supplier production assessment for serial readiness.

Travel: Low travel

•Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
•Build knowledge of company processes and customers while solving straightforward problems using standard procedures.
•Use project management skills and quality tools to investigate alternative manufacturing processes for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability.
•Evaluate technical requirements of new and existing products and recommend materials to Design Engineering based on qualified sources and products.
•Support supplier technical audit and evaluate supplier performance and capability to drive continuous improvement opportunities.
