  • •Prepare preliminary and detailed estimates and consult with clients and vendors to discuss and resolve estimation issues.
  • •Maintain current and accurate pricing information from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written proposals.
  • •Prepare bid packages and perform estimation and analysis of subcontractor bids for projects of varying size and complexity.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of civil construction estimating experience, including asphalt paving, dirt work, excavation, underground utilities, and related areas.
  • •Read and interpret heavy civil blueprints, specifications, and contracts to produce accurate estimates.
  • •Prepare bid packages and detailed estimates from final plans and specifications, including subcontractor bid analysis.
  • •Proficiency with estimating software such as Bid2Win or HCSS Heavybid and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • •Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet work requirements including OSHA/MSHA/DOT compliance and passing pre-employment controlled substance testing.
